Turkish envoy engages with students, academics in Jordan

(MENAFN) Türkiye’s Ambassador to Jordan, Yakup Caymazoglu, met with Turkish students and academics in Amman on Sunday as part of a program highlighting Türkiye’s education diplomacy, according to reports. The event, organized by the Amman Education Counsellorship and hosted by the Jordan branch of the Türkiye Maarif Foundation, brought together officials, scholars, and scholarship students supported by Türkiye’s Ministry of National Education.

Attendees included Amman Education Counsellor Burhan Okutan, Türkiye Maarif Foundation Amman Representative Veysi Kaya, Yunus Emre Institute Amman Turkish Cultural Center Director Professor Mustafa Ozturk, Amman Maarif Dormitory Director Burak Duran, as well as Turkish academics working in Jordan.

During the meeting, participants discussed Türkiye’s education diplomacy initiatives in Jordan, explored opportunities for inter-institutional cooperation, and considered ways to support scholarship students’ academic and cultural development.
